British Museum Trip

3 June 2024

Last term in History lessons Year 8 studied a unit titled 'Who Owns History?', focusing on the Benin Bronzes and Parthenon Sculptures in particular. Students have debated the controversies regarding the ownership of these historical artefacts.

On the last day of term, Year 8 visited the British Museum to see these items first-hand. They had the opportunity to handle ancient Greek and Roman coins and they had an enjoyable day!
