Year 13 Celebration Dinner

On Wednesday, our Year 13 students, the Class of 2023, gathered for a joyous Celebration Dinner to mark the end of their exams and commemorate their incredible journey at St. Ignatius College. The evening was a resounding success, filled with laughter, dancing, and amazing food. It was a special occasion as the students bid farewell to their time at the College, reflecting on the cherished memories, friendships, and invaluable experiences they have gained throughout their years here. The celebration served as a testament to their hard work, dedication, and achievements. The evening's atmosphere was electric, as the students took to the dance floor, dancing to their favourite tunes and revelling in the company of their classmates and teachers. Congratulations, Year 13 students of 2023! We wish you every success for the future!

Sixth Form Induction

St. Ignatius Sixth Form recently concluded its highly successful Induction Day, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter in the students' educational journey. The event spread over two days, was filled with immersive experiences, interactive classes, and opportunities to bond with the year group.                   On the first day, the students dived right into the college experience. They had a blast attending interactive classes and getting a sneak peek into what their academic journey at St Ignatius would be like. The day ended on a high note with an inspiring speech from our guest speaker, Reuben Arthur, who left us all motivated and ready to conquer the world.   The second day was all about exploring different subjects and enrichment classes. The students got to see what their future classes would look like at St Ignatius and had the freedom to choose from a wide variety of enrichment classes. It was an opportunity for them to discover new interests and broaden their horizons. We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us for this fantastic event. None of it would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our faculty. To the incoming Sixth Form students, thank you for being a part of this unforgettable experience. We're thrilled to have you join our St Ignatius family, and we can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll achieve during your time with us.

Y12 Royal Court of Justice Trip

Our Year 12 students interested in studying Law at university had an extraordinary opportunity yesterday. They met with King’s Counsel barristers, senior barristers, and even a High Court Judge. It was an unforgettable experience to be in the company of such accomplished leaders in the world of law. The day included visits to the renowned Royal Courts of Justice, Blackstone Chambers, and Middle Temple, one of the four Inns of Court. Our students were captivated and inspired by the legal professionals they met and the prestigious institutions they explored. They were even challenged to play out a court case on their own! This unique experience has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on our students, who are now more motivated than ever to pursue their legal aspirations. We are immensely grateful to all the professionals who made this day possible.

Oxbridge Workshhops for Year 10 and Year 12

As the application deadline for Oxford and Cambridge universities approaches, our Year 12 and Year 10 students have had the invaluable opportunity to take part in workshops focused on the prestigious Oxbridge institutions. The Year 12 students were privileged to attend workshops designed to provide them with expert advice on making informed course choices and preparing successful applications to Oxbridge. These sessions offered valuable insights into studying at Oxford and Cambridge, as well as information about the admissions tests associated with these esteemed universities. In a similar vein, our Year 10 students were recently given the chance to participate in their own tailored Oxbridge workshops. These workshops aimed to equip them with a deeper understanding of the subjects they should select for their A-level studies in order to pursue their dream degrees. Moreover, the sessions provided them with a glimpse into the world of Oxbridge and the vibrant university life that awaits successful applicants. By engaging in these workshops, both year groups have gained vital knowledge and guidance that will significantly contribute to their future academic and professional journeys. The workshops have not only shed light on the unique opportunities and challenges of studying at Oxbridge but have also empowered the students to make well-informed choices as they embark on their educational paths.
