Our Rugby Star

Meet Niamh, our year 13 student who this season has been selected to represent Ireland in the Under 21 Rugby Team! She says 'I began playing club rugby at the age of 11 in 2017, In the 2023/2024 season I was trailing for Saracens U18s academy where I was fortunate enough to get selected and play for the whole season. During this season I also got a trial for Irish IQ (which is for people who qualify to play for Ireland but don’t live there), where I then had a coach follow me up and come to watch my games, I was then given the opportunity in November to go to Ireland for a training camp, with the Ireland U20 ladies. The camp and the challenge games played against provinces in the meantime were all in preparation for the U20s six nations (which is a competition between England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy) which will be held in Italy in July. We wish Niamh all the success!

Year 10's Sport Science Trip

In an exciting endeavour aimed at elevating their NAE grade scores for the Sport Science GCSE, oue year 10 students recently embarked on a four-day expedition to North Yorkshire. During their adventure, the students got to try out a mix of activities that combined learning with hands-on experience. They did experiments in sports science including indoor climbing and bouldering, and took on outdoor challenges that tested their physical abilities such as a road cycling. This gave them lots of chances to learn new things and improve their skills along the way.  As the students come back with new things they've learnt, the experiences they had in North Yorkshire show how doing things hands-on can help them become better leaders in sports science and other areas in the future, well done to everyone!

Achievement Assemblies - Spring Term

Today, we concluded our Achievement Assemblies, where we celebrated our students' accomplishments with the Rewards for Living and Learning. Our RFL system recognises students' efforts across all facets of the Jesuit Pupil Profile. We are thrilled to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of all our students and extend heartfelt congratulations to those who achieved outstanding results this term. We eagerly anticipate the opportunities and successes that the upcoming Summer Term will bring us!
